Run and Stumble

Gauge has not been my friend this week.

I tried knitting a pair of fingerless mitts, but the gauge was too loose and I could fit both hands in one mitt. Rip!

I tried getting gauge for a fantastic sweater that I’d love to wear, but correct gauge in the yarn I have produces a super loose, floppy fabric that I don’t like. I could knit a larger size at the tighter gauge, but there are no larger sizes, and I’m too frustrated to do the math to make it bigger.

Humph.

But! I did get some lovely new needles from Angelika’s (size 7mm, or US 10.75 Addi Naturas – super fast shipping!) so I have hopes I can get the sweater gauge to work on them. Or not. Either way, I love these new needles!

In the meantime, I’ll just relax and play some Peggle.

The best medicine for frustrating knitting moments is to do something the exact opposite of knitting. At least that’s my motto.
