First Shot

The Noro Scarf is the only thing I want to work on right now. It helps that it got cold outside, and that playing with wool feels like the natural antidote to the frosty temps:

Noro Striped Scarf - Beginnings

I couldn’t be more in love with the colors I chose. This hastily set up shot is making the lighter colors look more pink than they actually are. In reality, it’s very manly and handsome and I really think Mr. Martini is going to enjoy it.

It’s actually progressed a little further than the photo (almost 2x this length) so the colors are really looking great together. I’m worried that there are some very similar greens coming up – hopefully they’ll hit at different times in the rotation. If not, I can do what others have done and just cut out color runs to knit in at other times. Crafty!

I’m still not bored with the 1×1 rib, thanks to my new knitting method. I’m still no speed demon, but I feel a little quicker knitting this way. Who knew such a little change would make such a big difference?
