Knitting Anniversary
By Susan | September 25, 2008
Wow, I can’t believe it’s been THREE YEARS since I picked up the needles and started knitting. I started this site just a few weeks after I started knitting (see the first post here), I’ve been able to chronicle the entire journey. I’ve even managed to take photos of almost everything I’ve ever knit.
I’ve knit a lot of projects, I’ve frogged a lot of projects, and I’ve forgotten about a few projects. I went through and counted up everything, and here are my stats after 3 years of knitting:
19-1/2 pairs of socks
17 scarves
10 hats
9 baby items
4-1/4 sweaters
2 pairs fingerless mitts
2 washcloths
2 dishcloths
2 shawl
1 poncho(!)
1 pair of mittens
1 pair felted slippers
Many, many disasters (including socks, sweaters, scarves and a few other items)
Not bad for 3 years of knitting. I think I have enough stash for at least 3 more. Or even 30.

I’m working on the FLS, as well, and am probably at the same point you are. And, though easy, it is not flying off my needles, either. Maybe I don’t knit enough big projects or have a short attention spa–look, a shiny thing!
