It’s Going to be a Busy 1001 Days
OK, I did it. I jumped on the bandwagon. I created a “101 in 1001″ list.
For those of you who have no idea what I’m talking about – it’s a project that’s been going on around the web for well over 4 years now. Bloggers (and non-bloggers, too, of course) are creating lists of 101 measurable, challenging tasks to be completed over the course of 1001 days (roughly 2 years and 9 months).
My list has a lot of non-crafty items on it, but for the purposes of this site I wanted to draw your attention to the more crafty items. I have everything clumped into different categories (“Big,” “Small,” “Grow,” “Shrink,” etc.). I included the category titles to keep things in perspective:
Grow – expand mind, body, soul
13. Take beading class
15. Take a sewing class
19. Complete Level 1 Master Knitters Program
20. Complete Level 2 Master Knitters ProgramShrink Part 1 – less is more
23. Sell or use entire current yarn stash
Create – make it myself
53. Knit myself a sweater
54. Knit Mr. Martini hat & scarf set
55. Finish or frog all current knitting WIPs
56. Make a beaded necklace
57. Sew myself 1 piece of clothing
58. Sew pillows for living room
59. Paint my own pottery
60. Try to quilt
61. Sell one handmade item
62. Make a photo light boxRejects – originally rejected from the list, then added for the challenge
92. Donate knitted items to charity
94. Publish a knitting pattern
As you can see, 17 of my 101 items are craft related. Some of them will be easy. Some of them will be challenging. But I’m looking forward to each and every one of them.
I’ll post my progress on the crafty entries here as they occur. For those of you interested in seeing the entire list, I created a page off-site that lists all 101 items – Susan’s 101 in 1001.
I’m really looking forward to this! Let the games begin!
