Mail Call
I’ve received some great goodies in the mail recently.
First up – I am SO LATE in writing about this. About a month ago (!) Sarah, my sock savior from Sockapaloooza had a contest on her site to raise money for cancer warriors. I was the lucky winner of a fabulous prize package:
Sock yarn (in gorgeous blues and greys – love it!), Soak wash, some of her handmade stitchmarkers (they’re amazing, I wish my photo had turned out better) and a wee box of mints. The mint box is so cute I’m definitely going to save it for holding various items when the mints are gone.
The best part is that it all came packaged in this:
One of Sarah’s project pouches! I absolutely love it -the colors are fab, it’s well-constructed, and it’s the perfect size for a pair of socks to take on the go.
Thank you, Sarah!
Next up -
I ordered and received my Ravelry beta t-shirt recently, and when it arrived it was way (WAY) too small. So rather than hide it in a drawer, I offered it up in one of the Ravelry forums – Will Trade for Sock Yarn. SparkySticks took me up on my offer, and sent along this gorgeous hank in exchange for the shirt:
Colinette Jitterbug in “Summer Berries.” I actually gasped out loud when I opened the box – I’ve been dying to try Jitterbug, and these colors are exactly what I would have chosen for myself. Thanks, SparkySticks!

The project pouch rocks. So much better than the ziploc bag I am currectly using…
That Colinette is so yummy! Totally makes me think of blackberries and blueberries. Gorgeous stuff!
