More Yarnography
All of the knitting is done on the Forest Canopy Shawl – I finished it up on Tuesday night. I had plenty of yarn left over so I probably could have made it bigger with another repeat (or even two) but I wanted to follow my first shawl pattern exactly.
No pictures yet, though – it still needs blocked. How about some Yarnography instead?
From Cider Moon, we have two hanks of hand-dyed fingering weight merino:
Colorway: Cherry on Top
Colorway: “Postiano” The site described it as a sort of “mish-mash” colorway that was never the same twice. On the site, it looked more grey than beige, but I couldn’t be happier with what I got. I’ve already cast on a project with it.
Also, Yarntini opened her own shop, and I was lucky enough to snag this beauty:
This is a horrible picture of a gorgeous yarn. The colorway, “Gin,” looks gray but upon closer inspection is actually a blend of greys, greens and blues, with darker streaks of blue/greens. Think Bombay Sapphire - hey, I couldn’t date a guy nicknamed “Mr. Martini” and not know about gin!
You’ve probably also noticed that I’ve changed the look of the site - I figured I’d give you something new to look at since I’ll be out of town all next week on vacation. The photo albums aren’t working exactly right – I may add those as soon as I figure out the formatting. In the meantime, let me know if anything looks weird, and I’ll see you in about a week!
